Autumn (September - November):Consistent Swells & Warm Waters

Winter (December - February): Swell Season & Legendary Waves
Waves: This is when the famous point breaks like Anchor Point and Killer Point come alive, offering long, powerful rides. While these are for experienced surfers, Tamraght’s sheltered beach breaks still provide consistent and manageable waves for beginners and intermediates even on bigger days. Our instructors expertly choose the right spot for your level daily.
Weather: Mild and sunny days, typically around 20°C (68°F). Evenings can be cool, so pack layers. The water is cooler, but a 3/2mm or 4/3mm wetsuit is usually sufficient.

Ideal For: Advanced surfers seeking big swells, and beginners/intermediates who don’t mind a slightly busier lineup in exchange for reliable, smaller waves at sheltered spots.
Spring (March - May): Mellow Waves & Perfect Weather
Waves: The big winter swells ease off, giving way to more forgiving and consistent waves. Beach breaks are abundant, perfect for beginners to find their feet and for intermediates to refine their technique without intense pressure.
Weather: Glorious sunshine and warm temperatures, often reaching into the high 20s °C (low 80s °F). The water warms up considerably.
Crowds: Generally lower than winter, offering more space in the lineup.
Ideal For: Beginners seeking uncrowded, gentle waves for rapid progression, and intermediates looking for consistent, fun waves to practice.

Weather: Hot and sunny, with temperatures often in the low to mid-30s °C (high 80s to low 90s °F). The water is warm enough for bikinis or boardshorts, though a shorty wetsuit might be preferred for sun protection and buoyancy.

Ideal For: First-time surfers, families with children, and anyone looking for a chilled-out beach holiday with gentle waves and lots of sunshine.
